Inbound Link - Social Media Glossary

Saturday, May 28, 2005

An inbound link (also known as a backlink) is an incoming link to a website.

Inbound links pay a large role in SEO as they help search engines determine how popular a site may be.

If you want to see how many sites are linking to your website, type link:http://www.yourwebsite.com (no space and of course, substitute your website for where it says yourwebsite.com) into Google's search bar.
