Thanks A Million!

Every now and then people go out of their way to do something nice for you and it blows you away. This last week it happened a couple of times and I want to publicly thank those people here:

Last week I checked my mail after a pretty stressful day and found a box full of homemade cookies from Kay at Howerton + Wooten Events, a wedding and event planning company in the Washington, DC area. She also included the sweetest note about how The Smart Planner has helped her business. I was completely floored by her generosity and thoughtfulness! And to the people who say that helping other people succeed in a business that you compete in is dumb and gets you nowhere, I say: wrong. It gets you cookies. I have no photos of the delicious treats and cute packaging because maybe I ate them all and maybe I washed them down with a glass of wine. Thanks, Kay!

My second shout out goes to Y-Knot Party Rentals. I had never worked with this particular rental company before, but on Friday, about three and a half hours before the wedding started, I called them with a last minute emergency situation and about 45 minutes later a truck pulled up and delivered 100 new chairs to the venue. Thanks, Ginia! Your customer service ROCKS and totally saved the day.
