How did you get started in wedding planning?
I think I grew into it! Creating many small events and weddings throughout the world, I finally realized that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! Every aspect in planning a wedding is perfect for me. I always say: "Planning a wedding is like a big puzzle. You have to find and collect the right pieces to create the big picture." Every wedding is so different - I never get bored.
I am now at the right stage of my life – full sails ahead!
If you had to start over what one thing would you do differently?
Nothing! I am sailing the boat with the perfect wind speed! You certainly have to have the passion for this kind of job.
What's your favorite item in your emergency kit?
Blue tag and safety pins. So many brides loose their loop to keep their train up and blue tag solves a lot of problems.
What is the best piece of business advice you've ever received?
My dad was a consultant in the flower industry and he is also my mentor. He tells me: "Be true to yourself, be honest and stay focused in what you have planed for yourself – the best policy ever!"
What two people (past or present) would you have as guests at a dinner party and why?
Oprah Winfrey – a woman with strength in everything. An hour with her would be like going to college for 10 years of learning about life and business!
Colin Cowie - skip the dinner, please let me follow him for a week or two!
What are your three favorite blogs besides thesmartplanner.com?
Polka Dot Bride, The Brides Café, and Blue Orchid Designs. I am a blog addict!
