Gaining Publicity :: Tips for Wedding Planners

wedding publicity and prOf all the topics that I get asked to address on The Smart Planner, publicity and PR probably comes up the most often.  It is a crucial part of a business plan and helps with building your image, getting your name out there and raising brand awareness.  That said, there is no magic wand to success in any industry and no one advertisement, media placement, or big name client will open the door to everything you want. 

To help navigate the murky waters of publicity, I'm thrilled that wedding publicist Leila Khalil from Be Inspired Public Relations has agreed to be a guest expert on The Smart Planner.  We'll be featuring insights from Leila on what PR is and what it's not, what to look for when hiring a publicist, some DIY tips for those of you who may not yet be at the point of bringing a publicist on, etc.
