We'll be featuring a new series on The Smart Planner with candid conversations with real moms who juggle these tasks every day. There will be no June Cleaver stories here; no snapshots of women blogging from their blackberries while vacuuming in heels and pearls, all the while chatting with a client on their bluetooth about the chartreuse crinkle taffeta linens they've selected for their wedding reception. Each of these ladies are a work-in-progress because - let's face it - kids or not, we are all simply works-in-progress.
These women will share about things they've learned along the way as well as things they're still learning in regards to balancing family and career. I'm excited to hear what they have to say and to learn from them, and I hope you'll join us!

I'm one of those women balancing kids, a career and a house...I'm excited to see how others handle this exhilerating and often overwhelming experience!
Just to name two: I've learned from being a single mother, with a "Day Job" , and an expanding business is: Patience and Faith. I am interested to learn from other as I grow and transition one level to the next!

Thank you so much Liene for doing this series! It can not come at a better time for me. I can really use some helpful tips from other successful women.
I am really looking forward to this series. I have 2 little ones and would love to get some tips and strategies from other moms.
I too, have two young ones, and feel like I have a pretty good balance as the ownwer of a planning/design firm and a mother/wife - althoguh I sure do wish there were more hours in a day! I look forward to seeing your series, let me know if you need comments from planner/moms!
PS - the greatest thing ever as a mom and planner for me was to follow your advice and get ringcentral - no more answering calls on Sundays!
Liene,
I am so excited to read this series, this is a major topic of discussion between my working mom friends. Being a successful business owner and being a good mom are a definite challenge. For me the line between the two becomes blurred quite often. I have become a really good juggler. I'm so excited to have found the Smart Planner, I am a florist but a lot of your advice works for me also. Thanks for the blogging workshop again- My blog is set to go live at the end of Feb.
I too am one of those woman balancing multiple jobs, one being a mom, two being a wife, three being a successful business owner. If it's not my daughter's many softball games or practices that keep me busy, it's her guitar lessons and the list goes on. Aside from being a local wedding planner, I've begun to do destination weddings and while my husband is supportive of that decision, my daughter isn't too thrilled. I am definitely still learning to find that balance between my career and being a mom/wife and slowly but surely I am getting there. I've set aside time each week just for them and my client's are aware of my "family days", so they are pretty respectful of not having me schedule meetings on these days. I am eager to read your post and I am glad someone is finally shedding light on this topic! I love your blog and am thankful to have found the Smart Planner, as it inspires me on a daily basis.
i am {so} looking forward to this!
