Explaining Blogs in Plain English

Have you started reading other wedding or business blogs but still aren't quite sure what they're all about or how they would be helpful for your own business? Do you get asked often by your industry peers who are confused on the benefits of blogging? Here is a quick two and half minute explanation on blogs and how they work. I'm part of the generation that grew up with the internet, so when web 2.0 gained a lot of ground (online communities, blogs, youtube, etc.), it just felt natural to me. Now that I'm studying to be an event planner, I'm realizing that a lot of experience planners are being taken by surprise with the amount of internet resources that are and can be used to promote and connect within the fields of events.

I felt that this video did a very good job of not only explaining what blogs are but what they can do, without making the watcher feel computer-illiterate for not knowing about it. Thanks for sharing!

Liene,

We used a lot of these "Plain" English videos in the "Social Media and Weddings" presentation I collaborated on for the Wedding Class I teach here in Las Vegas.

There are some other good "Plain English" videos on Wikis, etc.

I found the Plain English video informative and easy to understand. I blog a least once a week so anything about blogging, the do's and don'ts are great.
