Increasing the Ratio of Idea DevelopersTuesday, June 26, 2012
For every one cheerleader you have, you should have nine people who are willing to help you develop an idea to its highest and best form.
This doesn't mean that the nine aren't rooting for you to succeed or cheering you on, but their job most certainly is not to tell you how fabulous you are. Their job is also not that of an armchair quarterback, telling you that your idea needs work or that it could be better, and stopping at that. The role of these people is to get their hands dirty along with you. To edit, refine, re-imagine, recreate, grow and polish an idea until it's the best it can be.
