According to the 2011 Global Wedding Study from Splendid Insights, only 10% of couples identify as "offbeat". Yet more than 500,000 people read Offbeat Bride each month, a wedding blog (along with a book and active community) that is decidedly not mainstream (this Buddhist same-sex wedding is typical content for them). Ariel, the creator of Offbeat Bride and its sister brands, has proven year after year that niches can, and often do, have a loyal following.

Everyone doesn't need to like you. Everyone doesn't need to relate to you. In fact, it's better if everyone doesn't.
