I'm excited to share that I'll be speaking at both of the Engage!13 events this year. These conferences are produced by Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce for people who work in the luxury wedding industry. They are hands down the best business events I've been a part of, both as a speaker and attendee.
There's been a rumor going around that Engage! is a conference solely for wedding planners. Let me be the one to put that to rest once and for all. Engage! is for any company working in the luxury segment of the bridal industry. It is attended by all sorts of companies: photographers, floral designers, resorts and venues, cinematographers, caterers, cake designers, retailers (Nordstrom's Bridal Director Andrea Wasserman will be speaking in June -- hearing her is worth the price of admission alone), stationers, bridal show producers, media editors, and yes, event designers and planners.
Other speakers this year include David Stark, Marcy Blum, Jose Villa, Harmony Walton, Randy Fenoli, Jes Gordon, Abby and Tait Larson, Bryan Rafanelli, Peter Callahan, Xochitl Gonzalez, Angela Desveaux, Amy Atlas, and Sean Low just to name a few.
The Summer Engage! is June 3-5th at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina and the Winter Engage! is December 9-12th at the Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Both events will sell out quickly and move to a waiting list (the 2012 Engage! at The Breakers had a waiting list of nearly 200 people), so if you're considering going but haven't made the commitment yet, I'd recommend doing so soon.
