We See What We Look For

I was on a flight once to Atlanta when a very tall man offered his aisle seat to a woman he'd never met so that she could sit with her husband. He willfully took a middle seat on a cross-country flight so that the couple’s trip could be better.

It’s easy to insist that the world is going to hell and that people are increasingly narcissistic and only concerned with themselves. The truth is that kindness and generosity can be found everywhere. Another truth is that we typically see what we look for.
