Expanding Your Mind As A Leader

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Listening well -- listening without an agenda, without assuming motives on the part of another, without planning what you'll say at your next turn to speak -- bestows dignity on those around you.

Equally important: listening well expands your worldview. When you give another person dignity by truly giving them space to share their perspective, your mind can't help but operate from a place of openness.

If you want a capacious mind, check your own agenda and assumptions at the door and allow others to voice their truth.
