The best leaders embrace the truth that one of the greatest gifts a person is given is the ability to change their mind. Because of this, great leaders are insatiably curious, always open to learning new things and hearing differing opinions. They are flexible and willing to consider all sides of a perspective. They are willing to let their opinions evolve based on evidence and further education.
In order to lead well, you have to first do the hard work of figuring out why you believe what you believe. Once the 'why' is identified, you can do the important work of unlearning all the things you may have absorbed that don't actually belong.
